رد الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم على الإساءات الأخيرة بحق البطريرك الراعي.
بصفتي رئيس الجامعة اللبنانية الثقافية في العالم، أقدم وأوسع منظمة اغترابية تمثّل الجالية اللبنانية في أكثر من ۵۰ دولة عبر ست قارات، أجد نفسي مضطراً للتعليق على التصريحات المسيئة الأخيرة التي استهدفت الكاردينال بشارة بطرس الراعي، بطريرك الموارنة.
إن الإهانات الموجّهة إلى صاحب الغبطة لا تمسّ فقط بكرامة قائد ديني محترم، بل تُسيء أيضاً إلى القيم والتراث الثقافي للجاليات اللبنانية حول العالم. يجسّد البطريرك الماروني روح العيش المشترك بين الطوائف الدينية الثماني عشرة التي تُغني وطننا. إن قوة لبنان تكمن في هذا التنوّع، وأي اعتداء على دين هو اعتداء على الجميع.
وإذ تقف بحزم ضد أي أعمال تشهير أو إساءة بحق الرموز الدينية، تدعو السلطات اللبنانية إلى اتخاذ إجراءات فورية ومناسبة بحق المسؤولين عن هذه الإساءات. فمن الضروري صون مبادئ الاحترام والكرامة التي تشكّل أساس مجتمعنا.
وحيث تشكل هذه الحادثة تذكيراً بأهمية التضامن داخل مجتمعنا. ندعو جميع اللبنانيين، في الوطن والاغتراب، إلى التمسّك بإرثنا المشترك وبالعيش المشترك الذي يميّزنا. وفي هذه المرحلة الحساسة، علينا تعزيز الحوار والتفاهم بين مختلف المجموعات الدينية، والتأكيد أن احترام الآخر هو أساس التعايش السلمي.
وفي الختام، لنتذكر في ظل هذه الظروف، أن قوة لبنان تكمن في قدرتنا على العيش معاً بسلام رغم تعددية أدياننا.
إن إسهامات الجالية اللبنانية في العالم كبيرة، ونحن ملتزمون بتعزيز قيم السلام والاحترام والتفاهم. وسنواصل الدفاع عن حقوقنا وكرامتنا على الساحة الدولية.

Response of the World Lebanese Cultural Union to the Recent Insults Against Patriarch Al-Rahi
As President of the World Lebanese Cultural Union, the oldest diaspora organization representing the Lebanese community in over 50 countries across six continents, I feel compelled to address the recent derogatory remarks directed at Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, the Maronite Patriarch.
The insults directed at His Eminence not only undermine the dignity of a respected religious leader but also offend the values and cultural heritage of the Lebanese diaspora worldwide. The Maronite Patriarch embodies the spirit of coexistence among the 18 religious sects that enrich our nation. Lebanon’s strength lies in this diversity, and any attack on one faith is an affront to all.
Our Stance
We stand firmly against any acts of defamation and disrespect toward religious figures. The World Lebanese Cultural Union calls upon the Lebanese authorities to take immediate and appropriate action against those responsible for these insults. It is imperative to uphold the principles of respect and dignity that are foundational to our society.
A Call for Unity
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of solidarity within our community. We urge all Lebanese, both at home and abroad, to embrace our shared heritage and the coexistence that defines us. Now more than ever, we must foster dialogue and understanding among our diverse religious groups, reinforcing that respect for one another is essential for harmonious coexistence.

As we navigate these challenging times, let us remember that Lebanon’s strength lies in our ability to coexist peacefully among our multitude of faiths. The contributions of the Lebanese diaspora to the global community are significant, and we remain committed to promoting peace, respect, and understanding.
